An Arizona Update

This last week I went to Arizona for work and had the best time! I am in love with me breathing in the fresh, clean Arizona air.
This is where Josh will be working (without pay) for his first clinical rotation in Phoenix. St. Joseph's Hospital. I am so excited for Josh to start working (without pay)!

On another great note I found a job and a place to live all in 4 days. Some may say that I am good. I just attribute it to luck and being in the right place at the right time. But, you can tell me I am good. I definitely would not mind or object. ;)

Twenty-Five & About Time!

Nothing is more official then having a giant 2 & 5 candle on top of pink goo.

Literally, it was pink goo.

Everyone tells me that 25 will be my best year

and then I should start to fear

In Phoenix, I went to the Hard Rock for food

Good eating and good company always equals a good mood.

Thank you for my Birthday wishes

and all my new pumas

(that I'm sure are still in transit)

Conference weekend...a few days later

For conference this weekend we had family and friends come down and visit us. It was a lot of fun. On Saturday we went to two shows at Planet Hollywood. It was a lot of fun. There was this juggler in the show that was pretty amazing. Check him out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbjOgwnTOdY

History In The Making

I just wanted to announce that today, March 16th 2009 I changed my very first flat tire! I know this is something I should have taught myself years ago...but better late than never. I actually didn't teach myself how to do it. Harry, a guy I work with MADE me change it. Can you believe that? I came rolling (literally) into work today and he saw my tire and told me that I was learning how to change it. During lunch he taught me all I need to know. The funniest part was trying to loosen the bolts on the tire! I kept telling Harry that it wouldn't take as long if he would just loosen them up for me. I ended up having to use my legs to loosen them. I would stick the wrench (if that's what it's called) on the bolt and stand on top of it to jiggle them loose. That worked much faster than trying to use my puny little arms.

This is my car with its spare tire on. The one that I put on with adult supervision. My spare tire is a little flat because I forgot to fill it up before I left work like Harry told me to do. Hey, I can't do everything! ;)

The Rest of the Weekend

On Saturday we slept in, went to a movie, and then we drove to Newport to look at the temple and go to the beach. The temple is so pretty there!!

This is Josh freezing his butt off!! The water was really cold. It didn't help that it was kind of cloudy. Not the best weather to go to the beach.

Wouldn't it be cool to own a beach house?
How much do you think one of those costs?

On Saturday night we went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory!! It was so good. I tried fried bananas for the very first time. They were really good. Josh said that he had them all the time in Brazil as a dessert.

Overall, the trip was a lot of fun. Today it was so hard to get up and go to work!! Mondays are even worse after an amazing vacation!

A Magical 25th Birthday!

Last November I learned a great secret. This year at Disneyland if you are celebrating a birthday they let you in for free on the exact day of your birthday. WOW! I secretly signed Josh up for this and the secret lasted all of one month. (Hey, I tried and I do believe that is a Personal Best for me in holding out on a secret) I got too excited and just had to tell Josh! Plus, I had to make sure he actually didn't have school on Friday.
Anyway, after months of waiting, March finally arrived and we got to go celebrate his day of birth! I don't know if I was more excited to ditch work or to go to Disneyland? Let us just say it was a combination of both with ditching work more on top. Ha ha

Disneyland was a blast! We got there bright and early. I had no idea that there is a count down by the gates right before Disneyland opens. I told Josh I felt like I was getting ready to run a race and I was glad I wore my running shoes instead of my flip flops. 10...9...8...CELEBRATE!

We got to ride all of our favorite rides! And yes, Josh screamed the whole time and made silly faces at every camera. His body may have turned 25 but his mind still belongs to a kid.

I love my Prince Charming and I am glad I got to be there with him to celebrate his magical 25th birthday.
