Meet in the Middle?

I'd start walking your way
You'd start walking mine
We'd meet in the middle

We'd gain a lot of ground
Cause we'd both give a little
There ain't no road too long
When we meet in the middle

Sunday was one of the best days I have had in, well, about six weeks!! Who would of ever thought that Josh and I could fit into the category of the romantic, passionate type? I definitely didn't. We have our moments, but none like this. On a whim (a very big whim) we decided to meet each other half way between Las Vegas and Fallon, NV. That is a three hour drive for each of us. A total of 6 hours round trip and all in one day! Now if this is not love I really don't know what is?
We meet up in a small town called Goldfield. There is literally nothing there. I had made sandwiches and brought some fruit up and we had dinner together in a Cemetery! A Cemetery...not so romantic, but the whole idea was.

That is an actual tombstone in the cemetery! Lets y'all know just how crazy this town is!
I am so in love with my wonderful husband! I am so grateful for him and how many daily sacrifices he makes for me!

Mamma Mia! (Dot Dot Dot)

I finally got to go see the musical Mamma Mia!! I have been wanting to see it for about a year now. Shaun (one of my friends from high school) and I have been talking about going to that musical for awhile now. He finally came out to Las Vegas and we got to go! I give it 3 1/2 stars! I loved all the dancing and singing, especially from the Aunts. HILARIOUS! However, the end really bugged me and that is why it did not get 4 stars. If you have seen it then you know what I mean! I am now excited to go and see it in the theaters (and to see it with my husband!).

The Dream Team!!

One of the benefits of living in Vegas is that there are so many fun things to do. You can never run out of fun things to go do and see, but you can run out of money while going and doing all the fun things! Last weekend the Dream Team (USA Men's Basketball)came down to Vegas to play against Team Canada. At first I was torn between who to cheer for. However, after the first couple of minutes my mind was made up and USA it was!! By the way, USA stomped all over Canada! (that in no way influenced my decision...) HA! The Thomas & Mack was pretty much packed. There were a lot of famous people there like: Jamie Foxx, Bill Gates and Ludicris.

I am so excited for the Olympics to start!
Lets go TEAM USA!!

I CAN SWIM!!! (with the little kids)

So, I am not much of a swimmer. O.k it pretty much freaks me out! However, this last weekend I am proud to announce that I actually got in the water and did a little swimming of my own. I got to play alligator with the kids and chase them around the little kid pool.

Teagan loved me carrying her out into the deeper end and we would jump up and down. I think it's safe to say that I had a successful weekend of swimming.
Maybe next time I will dunk my head under the water??? Or maybe not?

Pirate Josh

While my sister's kids, Kelty and Teagan, were in town they would ask me, "where is Josh?" I told them that Josh had gone bye, bye...far, far away. They didn't believe me and thought that he would show up everywhere we went. But, they believed me when I showed them the skull and told them that it was Josh.

I explained to them that the skull was Josh. Kelty's eyes got really big and was scared to touch the skull at first. Teagan on the other hand thought that Josh being the skull was really cool and couldn't wait to touch it!

She kept saying this is Pirate Josh! Pirate Josh!!!

The Dagley's in VEGAS!

So..since my husband is gone I have been cheating big time. No, not on him, but by actually being alone the full six weeks he has been gone. I have been recruiting visitors. Come on, everyone wants to visit Las Vegas! Last week my mom was in town (yea for mothers and helping daughters stock back up on food). Next week my adorable sister in law will be in town with a few of her friends. Can't wait for you guys to come down! This week my two sisters were in town, bringing along with them my cute nieces. Yes, Steph they are so cute!! It was a total girl weekend!! No men allowed(although I could of done with a visit of some testosterone).
We did lots of swimming. Yes! I got in...the kiddy pool. Anyway... we also went to the shark reef in the Mandaly Bay Hotel. Amazing! I had fun looking at the fish, sharks, and lizards. I even had more fun watching Kelty and Teagan get so excited. Kids are so cute! At least they are for two hours, after that, they can start pushing their luck. Ha!
Here are a few pictures from the shark reef:

Exercise in Las Vegas?

Las Vegas is known to be hot and during the summer you can practically forget trying to do anything active outside (trust me I have tried). Yesterday, I had my first physical therapist appointment for my knee. I was again told to stop running on it!! This is hard news to take when all I really like to do actively is run. The physical therapist told me I could bike...bike? The only bike I have is from my mission and it's probably not the best bike in the world. Actually I know it's not. My boss who is a majorly obsessed bike connoisseur has had my bike for a couple of days fixing it up as best he can. I got it back today and it actually looks like a whole new bike. Well, at least it feels like a new bike!! He also is letting me borrow his biking um... contraption (for lack of a better word). You stick your bike on it and peddle. The bike doesn't move! I tried it out today and I have fallen in love with it! I felt strange however, biking on my mission bike and not wearing a skirt. HA!

P.S. Josh, this is what it looks like.
